The NZDO held a sold-out performance at the Nelson Centre of Musical Arts on 20 July 2025, with Mark Hodgkinson as our conductor.  There were 71 players.  
The orchestra performed 
  • John Rimmer: Cloud Fanfares
  • Stravinsky: Firebird suite
  • Tchaikovsky: Violin concerto (soloist Dr Rachel Moxham)​
​We are grateful for sponsorship for student travel from the University of Otago  division of humanities performing arts fund, and division of health sciences; and from the University of Auckland.  MAS provided sponsorship for some of our social functions.

Revenue from ticket sales was $6,883.25 and this was donated to Nelson Tasman Hospice.
